Cop Action Types

In these types of crime films, cops became heroes using police procedure and scientific tools. In the 1970s and 1980s movies, they were your average guys: usually a very masculine, tough, wisecracking individual that seemed indestructible in impossible situations. Other cop heroes in the 1980s were more tragic and usually had a difficult past that led them to be quite brash in their actions, unafraid of injury or pain.
