You’ll discover an amazing selection of coffees from all over the world that can be bought easily with just a few fast pecks at your computer keyboard.
Tips on buying coffee online
Here’s how you should get started with making the coffee purchase you want-
- After turning on your computer and starting up your Internet service, go to a search engine site like Google.com or Yahoo.com. In either of their search text boxes, simply type the word “coffee.” After hitting the search button, a wide range of results should be pulled up for you to view. Also be sure to look to the left side of the screen, where you’ll find a column called “Sponsored Results.” This column consists entirely of commercial (i.e. shopping) sites for you to purchase coffee from. After you’ve explored the results the search engine has generated for you, pick a website that offers coffee sales. As an example for writing this article, I will guide you through the steps to take in buying coffee from Peet’s Coffee and Tea, a very popular and well-respected coffee sales company.
- Once you click on Peets.com (the site should come up in the first few results of a search for coffee on Google or Yahoo), the first thing you’ll need to do with buying coffee from them is create a free shopping account. Most sites where you make purchases on anything require this now, so be patient. All you’ll be asked to do in most cases is provide your email address and create a password.
- Once you’ve done that you can begin exploring their collection of coffees for sale! Peet’s has their coffees arranged in such groupings as decaffeinated, dark roasts, and signature blends, and most other coffee sales sites will have their products arranged in a similar style. Click on a coffee that sounds good to you. Most items will have a brief description of their flavor, beans, aftertaste, etc. Peet’s even has a body and liveliness scale for each of their coffees.
- If you find a coffee you’re interested in purchasing, click the “add to cart” icon. After you’ve done that you can either continue to shop for more coffee or go to the checkout. If you go to checkout, you will be asked how you’d like your order ground, as well as how you’d like it delivered. Use the pull-down menus to make your selections, and then continue on by clicking on the “checkout” icon once again.
- Provide your billing address, then click on the “continue checkout” icon. Next you provide a shipping address. Once again, when finished with this step click on “continue checkout.” After this you provide your credit card information to make the purchase in the next step. Click “continue checkout” when finished filling out this information. You make your purchase final in the next step. Upon clicking on the “purchase” icon, you will be taken to a page that displays your order. Print this page out for your records. You should also get an email from the supplier verifying your order, too.
Caution
Always try and purchase a brand or type of coffee that you are familiar with when purchasing online. In case you want to buy a new brand or type of coffee, it may be a good idea to first sample it at your neighborhood coffee supplier first.
